Jansen Bagwell

Guest Speaker

We are honored to have Jansen Bagwell as our esteemed guest speaker, bringing unique insights and a powerful message to inspire and uplift our participants. Jansen Bagwell is a former protestant pastor and convert to the Catholic faith.  As a young man, he had a very powerful and personal encounter with God that produced a boldness and confidence in him that changed the direction of his life.  At the time, he began preaching, ministering and working in evangelical/charismatic churches for years.  Eventually, he went on to pastor a church full time. While pastoring, his personal studies and prayer led him to the early church fathers and ultimately to the Catholic faith.

Jansen holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies, a Master’s in Counseling and a second Master’s in the field of Religion, Spirituality and Health from Durham University in Durham, England.  His passion and gifts are in the areas of leadership, motivation, pastoral counseling, deliverance ministry, and public speaking. In his work as a Catholic life coach, Jansen helps others through a spiritual counseling process he calls "discipleship deliverance."  Through this process, he helps people to discover their God-given potential, to identify possible areas where that potential has been lost or thwarted along life’s journey and shows them how to do the work it takes to restore their passion and purpose by guiding them to complete and sustainable spiritual healing.

More often than not, this process also results in greater mental, emotional and physical health, as well as a clarity of life direction and purpose.  Jansen’s heart is for the local parish and to see individuals and families strengthened through a genuine relationship with Jesus Christ and meaningful connection to the sacraments.  As he guides people through this spiritual healing process, he works to show them how their gifts are connected to the Body of Christ and how they can be used to strengthen the life and work of their own local parish.

Jansen has been married for over 20 years to his wife Amanda, and they have four children.  He and his family live in Franklin, TN and attend their local parish, St. Philip.
